Nature, Life, Human is composed of the two sections, Nature and Life, respectively presented in the first and second exhibition hall. The two themes might sound separate and sing different songs, yet the audience will feel that there is an organic relationship between the two. The artworks reflect the artist’s individual experience, the circumstance of the times when the artist is living, the surrounding features, geographical and atmospheric, to which the artist’s feelings and thoughts are bound to respond. By focusing the relevance between the artworks and the environmental constituents, the audience will be led to ponder on their own lives; the opportunity to re-discover life from a fresh perspective.

As the inaugural special exhibition in its third gallery where the museum’s architectural features stand out, Daegu Art Museum has introduced work by contemporary artists based on an exploration of space. The museum presents work by Francois Morellet (1926- ) chosen as its second artist.
