With the Starbucks located in the busy area of downtown Daegu, it does not have its own parking
area. There are paid parking lots around the area which usually offer 30 minutes of parking for
free, so keep this in mind, if you’re visiting for a short time!
The biggest feature of this Starbucks
branch is that it is a hanok.
The interior design reflect the
traditional beauty of this Korean housing.
It being the first case of remodeling a hanok more than a 100 years old, the branch has retained
the original ceiling, rafters, pillars, the floor, and the exterior design,
to create a cozy, yet trending style.
On the left side of the entrance, the
counter is located, with tables on the other side.
A variety of seats are offered as well!
Comfortable couch seats and wooden
seats are both offered.
As you exit through the other side, a
great view is offered.
A gingko tree is in the center of the outdoor seats, providing a different style of beauty that a
hanok can offer.
Seats are placed in these areas as
well, so you can enjoy your coffee outdoors as well.
It’s a great place to take some
photos as well!
The café offers a variety of places to spend your time, both indoors and outdoors!
The Starbucks Daegu Jongro Gotaek branch also has a separate building with a different
atmosphere.
The ceiling of this building is high,
with the rafters in display, making the area seem quite
spacious and putting the stylishness of hanoks in display.
The viewing stones are a key element
in this buildings design,
creating more space for each seats.
