Fall is the season for various sports!

Baseball is everyone’s favorite sports in Fall.

 

Baseball is one of the popular sports events in Korea, too.

Many baseball fans visit the stadium to cheer for their team,

and there are special cheering songs for each players, as well!

 

Today, I will talk about Samsung Lions Park,

the home stadium Samsung Lions, based on Daegu 🥳

If you come out of the exit of Daegu Grand Park Station,

which is included in Daegu Line 2, Samsung Lions Park,

the only professional baseball stadium in Daegu, is located right there.

Samsung Lions Park, as its name suggests,

is the home stadium of the KBO League baseball team 'Samsung Lions'🦁

The exterior of the building, decorated with blue,

the team color of the Samsung Lions, is impressive.

Baseball stadiums that have a symmetrical fan-shaped outfield fence

are categorized as a ‘cookie cutter-style baseball stadium.'

Samsung Lions Park is the first octagonal stadium in Korea,

with all others having a fan-shaped outfield.

If you go to a baseball game, you can see people wearing and carrying various cheering 

goods, including uniforms with the team players' names on them.

Just like MLB teams' official goods, the KBO League also has various cheering goods that

 inspire fans' sense of belonging🙌

One of the factors that makes baseball games more enjoyable is delicious food!

In Korea, there is a culture of eating Chimaek (Fried Chicken and Beer) while watching

 sports games🍺
