A page with Hyangchon-dong's History Hyangchon Culture Center

Located near Jungang-ro Station and Daegu Station, included in Daegu Line 1,

the Hyangchon Cultural Center is a must-see

indoor tourist destination in Jung-gu, Daegu.

The current location of the Hyangchon Cultural Center

is where Seonnam Industrial Bank, the first general bank in Daegu, was located.

It seems that the location of the cultural center is meaningful.

Permanent exhibitions are held on the first and second floors, and

on the first basement floor, the classical music appreciation room, Nokhyang, is located.

If you enter the Hyangchon Cultural Center,

you can first check the chronology

that shows the rise and fall of Hyangchon-dong at a glance.

Before you meet Hyangchon-dong,

you can enjoy the exhibition more

if you understand the general trend of its history 🔎

The first sight of Hyangchon-dong is Jungang-ro,

which was the best commercial area in modern Daegu.

The city center, including financial institutions, coffee shops,

inns, and opticians, is realistic.

In addition, the Hyangchon Cultural Center operates

a service that rents old school uniforms,

so you can experience a more different experience.

Why don’t you get a photo wearing an old-school school uniform at Jungang-ro,

one of the best photo spots in Hyangchon Cultural Center?📸

Next, you can see Daegu Station,

which was the center of transportation.

There will be a media video show featuring the scenes of life back then,

so it would be good to stop and watch!📹

Next is Gyodong Market.

The market's unique warmth is felt,

but the culture from the Korean War refuge

is intact in its model, making me feel sad.

Don't miss the last exhibition on the first floor,

"Story in the closet" in the multi-theme video room!

Hyangchon Cultural Center where you can learn

the history of Daegu and experience the old Korea!

For information on the permanent exhibition on

the 2nd and 1st basement floors, see you in the 2nd volume!
