Hello, Everyone!

Do you know the Korean word, " Mukburim"?

This word refers to acts of eating that shows the person’s enthusiasm for food.

That's why places with a lot of delicious food are called Mukburim spots.

The two places we introduced to you last time

and the two places to be introduced in this post are such Mukburim spots 🍴

Today, we give you the two food alleys

that came to our minds when it comes to snacks 😋

1. 🤍 It's steaming! Gachang Steamed Bun Alley 🤍

Address: 1099, Gachang-ro, Gachang-myeon, Dalseong-gun, Daegu

Public Transportation: Get off at Bus Stop ‘Across Gachang-myeon Office’

via Express Bus #2 and Bus #405

Since the first Steamed Bun bakery was established in 2000, Gachang Steamed Bun Alley

has gradually expanded and its buns have become a specialty.

Now, it has become so popular

that, in winter, people from all over the country come to buy it.

In 2013, it was selected as a "good alley" where the stores

make monthly donations to the Community Chest of Korea.

It's a place full of warm warmth that goes well with its warm food, right?🥰

In the alley, you can see the steam

rising like fog from the steamers 💨

There are a variety of types, from regular steamed bread with red bean paste

to sweet potato steamed bread with sweet potato paste

and corn steamed bread without any fillings.

If it's your first time eating steamed buns,

we recommend the regular red bean steamed buns

The soft bread skin and sweet red bean paste make you smile.

Steamed bun bakeries in Gachang Steamed Bun Alley

often sell dumplings as well as steamed buns.

These dumplings are also very popular,

so it would be good to give them a try as well!🥟

If the cold weather reminds you of hot snacks,

Come to the Gachang Steamed Bun Alley!

2. 🌶 The Most Addictive National Snack, Duryu Tteokbokki Alley 🌶

Address: 54, Yaoeeumakdang-ro 39-gil, Dalseo-gu, Daegu
✅Public Transportation: 3-min Walk from Exit 3 of Duryu Station (Daegu Metro Line 2)

Tteokbokki is a soul food for many Koreans

and, arguably, the national snack of Korea 🏅

Near Duryu Station, if you enter the Shinnaedang Market,

there is the Dalgo Tteokbokki Alley.

It is said that the name Dalgo Tteokbokki was given because

Dalseong High School (Godeung Hakgyo in Korean) was located nearby.

Recently, it was introduced as one of the 3 Best Tteokbokki places

in the popular TV program " Jongwon Baek’s Alley Restaurants"

and more people have visited since 📺

With the recent trend of franchise tteokbokki,

the overall price of tteokbokki has risen significantly.

The tteokbokki restaurants in Dalgo Tteokbokki Alley

are very cost-effective at around 2,000 won per person.

It looks spicy, but in reality, it is quite sweet.

Even if you don't handle spice very well,

you might as well give it a go!

The highlight of the Dalgo tteokbokki is not its rice cake.

Dalgo Tteokbokki's specialty are its fried dumplings

that is served alongside the tteokbokki.

If you dip the crispy dumplings with the tteokbokki soup,

you can find yourself constantly eating them 😝

So we introduced you to a total of four food alleys and their specialties.

What food did you want to try the most?

Come visit Daegu and enjoy all its delicacies! 🎈
