New Dawn (Saesaebyeok) Bookstore

A small bookstore in the city center, New Dawn Bookstore are located near Exit 2 of Banwoldang Station.​



It's not a big space, but it has full of various books. It's a very warm space to stay because New Dawn Bookstore has warm wood interior.


Each book has a own curation card on at cover, so you can get help when choosing a book. If you have any questions or want some recommendations, please feel free ask to bookstore owner and he will help you.


It's a special sale zone. This space is display books that match the each theme. There is also a photo zone consisting of cute props in the bookstore.

When you buy a book, they put it in a paper bag. Isn't the owl character in the front is also cute?


Location: New Dawn Bookstore on the 1st floor of 344 Jungang-daero, Jung-gu, Daegu.

Hours: Everyday 13:00-20:00 / Closed on Mondays

Daebong Bookstore


Daedong Bookstore is an independent bookstore located near Gundulbawi Station in Daebong-dong. It is located under Daebongjeong Pavilion, a bakery cafe.


Daedong Bookstore's books are tied up in ribbons. If you buy a book, it'll feel like you got a present..


The Daedong Bookstore is conducting literature, art, and sustainable programs with various cultural and artistic contents through 30,000 vintage books and monthly curated planned exhibitions. This space has serve as an independent bookstore, but also as a space for communication to create stories with local residents.

Vintage books are stuck in the floating bookshelf. It has the intention of taking a step closer to the zero-waist lifestyle by consuming vintage books. It is sold at a cheap price, discounted from the regular price, and the proceeds from the sales are being supported by the artists of the Boyd Gallery. 

There is also a space at the back of the bookshelf where you can choose books and read them comfortably, so you can enjoy them, too.

Time: 10:00-19:00 every day / Closed on Tuesdays
