Daegu's Photogenic Place with Cosmos Flowers : Hajungdo Island

These days, the weather has become chilly at night. What comes to your mind first when you think of autumn? Book? Reed? Sunset? When it comes to autumn scenery in Korea, cosmos flowers are indispensable, and Daegu also has a space where you can meet cosmos spreading like wilderness in autumn. Let me introduce you to the "colorful" spot with cosmos flowers.

Hajungdo Island

The place I'm going to introduce today is Hajungdo Island located in Nogok-dong, Buk-gu! Did you all know that in spring, Hajungdo Island, which is also famous for rape flowers, is not an artificial island made artificially, but an island formed by a pile of sediment due to a change in the flow path of grain streams or slow flow rates?

Hajungdo Island, which is located on both sides of the Geumhogang River, shows a different appearance with various flowers every season, and in the last week of September, at the time of visit, there were pink cosmos and water silver grasses that brought a feeling of autumn. In addition, rape flowers that color your eyes with yellow bloom every spring, making it a good tourist destination to visit in any season.

Hajungdo Island has a promenade along the Geumhogang River, making it a good place to take a walk while alternating between the river and the flower garden. In addition to the cosmos and water silver grass described above, various plants, such as mugwort and parangi, are hidden everywhere, so it is also fun to take a walk and look for them.

As you head to the center of the promenade where the water silver grass is spread out, you can see a hidden pond called "Hajungdo Small Pond" that was hidden by silver grass. Water silver grass surrounds this small pond, making it a good place to picnic while looking at nature with the pond.

If you get out of the small pond and walk toward Nogokgyo Bridge, you will find a small wedding hall this time. The small wedding hall is a space where prospective couples can plan their own wedding photos. In addition to wedding photos, there is a photo zone where you can take proof shots, so if you visit Hajungdo Island, I recommend you to look around together.

If you continue to walk past the small wedding hall toward Nogokgyo Bridge, you will find Gourd (pronounces "Bak" in Korean) Tunnel waiting. As the name suggests, it is a tunnel wrapped in gourds, and the appearance of large and small gourds hanging is very cute.

How do you like the trip to Hajungdo Island? Sooner or later, you could visit and see the scenery directly. Till then, enjoy a pleasant and safe trip online!

Location: 665 Nogok-dong, Buk-gu, Daegu
