Recommended Old Restaurants in Daegu

 What kind of foods have you ever tried in Daegu, Some menus must be new, but some must be very classic. We would like to introduce old restaurants in Daegu, more than 40 years of history. Shall we go and meet the restaurants in Daegu? 

1. Gubullo Restaurant (Since 1975)

The first recommended restaurant in Daegu is Gubullo Restaurant, a famous grilled meat restaurant located in Bulo-dong. 

The Gubullo Restaurant, which opened in 1975 and has been in the place for 46 years, is a restaurant that has rich flavor of Duitgogi, "special cut" of meat. The signature menu of this restaurant is not so common, Duitgogi — it includes some special cuts of meat, so you can taste very complex, savory, and juicy taste of the parts you couldn't usually taste. 

The assorted cuts of meat, Modeum-gui (모둠구이) in Korean, has a little bit strange looks at first sight, but its taste is amazing. In the case of intestines, it is recommended to eat after the soup boiled down so that you could taste the enriched flavor. 

The intestines from a cow are evenly contained, so you could enjoy various flavors and textures. The "internal cuts" may have a bit tough texture even if they are cooked, so we recommend you to choose depending on your personal preference.

2. Grandma Choi Yeong-gyeong's Bindaetteok (since 1974)

The second old store we are about to introduce to you is famous for the crispy, yet moiste moiste Bindaetteok (a Korean pancake made of mung bean paste) — it's Grandma Choi Yeong-gyeong's Bindaetteok (최영경 할매 빈대떡).

Grandma Choi Yeong-gyeong's Bindaetteok (최영경 할매 빈대떡)  opened in 1974 and has been insisting on mung bean bindaetteok for 47 years, similar to Gubullo Restaurant. It is a restaurant that sells only a single menu, bindaetteok, and cooking begins at the same time as order, not selling food that already made. 

As soon as we entered the store, the fantastic smell of fried jeon stimulated our stomach and salivary glands, and the inside was rather small, showing that I was in a rural house. 

It's time to taste the famous mung bean pancake in Daegu! Mung bean pancake, 빈대떡 in Korean, has both of great texture and taste.

Especially, if you eat it with the spicy kimchi that comes with it, the flavor of food goes better than ever. They have alcoholic drink menus too, includes Dongdongju, which matches great with bindaetteok. If you have a bite of bindaetteok with cold Dongdongju, you could call it a heaven.
