[Recommended Cafes at Apsan Mountain] Cafe Wolpori 91 & Crafter

Where are the most crowded cafes in Daegu? You might list up Dongseongno, Apsan Mountain, Samdeok-dong, and Gyo-dong. There are various kinds of exotic cafes all over Daegu, but the Apsan cafe street is considered one of the representative places where disintive cafes are gathered. This time, we're head to find some cafes with a quite mood located on Apsan cafe street.

1. Cafe Wolpori 91

Located at the entrance of a narrow alley, Cafe Wolpori 91 is a renovated Hanok cafe. Many people are wondering why the cafe's name is Wolpori 91, because your grandmother used to live in 91 Wolpo-ri, Pohang, Gyeongsangbuk-do Province. It's a name that shows how the owner misses his grandmother.

This is the Cafe Wolpori 91 — before entering the cafe, people usually stand in front of the wall and take pictures. People who visit Cafe Wolpori 91 says they would take pictures using the wall and sign as a photo zone.

When you open the gate and walk inside, you will see a little but cozy garden, and there were quite a few people inside the cafe, but it is not too noisy and creates a quiet atmosphere.

The interior of the cafe had a cozy atmosphere, and ceramics were arranged everywhere, which is also operated as a pottery workshop, and ceramics manufactured together are also on sale.

Cafe Wolpori 91 is introduced as "a space to eat food made by a food doctor in an artwork made by a potter," is served in cute ceramics, and we could see not only the sincerity of the tableware but also the sincerity of the menu developed by referring to a traditional Korean medical book  such as Dongui Bogam, an Unesco Heritage.

This is Cafe Wolpori 91, a place I recommend to people who want to go to a quiet cafe outside of their noisy daily lives. Please note that this is a no-kids zone.

Address: 38 Angol 1-gil, Nam-gu, Daegu
Hours: Closed from Tuesdays to Saturdays 12:00 to 19:00 / Sunday to Monday

2. Crafter

The second quiet cafe is Crafer at Apsan cafe street, where is especially famous for yummy cakes. Like Cafe Wolpori 91, there is an entrance to the cafe Crafter site at Apsan Mountain, which is a remodeled Hanok cafe, on the left side of the alleyway.

As soon as you enter the entrance, you can see a small outdoor garden, which feels like you're camping, and it's a good place to drink a cup of coffee while looking at the mountain with warm sunlight on a windy day.

When you enter the cafe, you can see a cute look with white and wood-toned interior. Plants were located all over the cafe, so I was able to get a more cozy feeling.

One of the signature menu of Crafter is "Injeolmi Cake" — a lot of cream between the sheets, giving it a savory and sweet taste. There are other kinds of delicious cakes, of course. As popular as cakes are, all kinds of cakes are sold out as soon as they open, so if you're a cake enthusiast, you must order cake menu first!

We looked into the quiet cafes you can meet at Apsan Mountain. As small cafes gradually sprang up between the alleys, the alleys that usually pass by carelessly stand out, and I hope you found the information on the exotic cafes hidden in the alleys of Daegu interesting!
