Daegu City Trip by Subway: Look Around Daegu Metro Line 3

 

At this time, we would love to introduce the way to travel Daegu by subway, for the city is one of the places with easy and convenient public transportation system. To take a subway is an ideal way to look around Daegu's tourist attraction close to Metro Line 3 and other related areas. Shall we hit the road to some fancy restaurants and tourism spots near Line 3?

1. Miseongdang Restaurant @ Namsan Station

The very first place is Miseongdang, one of the original restaurants in Daegu — it started operating since 1963. This restaurant serves one of the famous local delicacies of the city, "10 Tastes of Daegu".

When you get out the station's exit 2, pass the crosswalk on your right and you could face the restaurant soon. It has a long history with three-generations, that you might imagine the yummy taste.

The signature menu is definitely flat dumplings, only glass noodles, green onions, and leeks are used. It is served with chopped green onions on top of dumplings, and it must be much tasty with soy sauce or chilli powders, which are always on the table, FYI.

Here I recommend you to eat with it with extra menus, like spicy and sweet jjolmyeon noodles or steamed dumplings (Jjingyos), to enjoy the flat dumplings more deliciously!

2. Suseongmot Lake @ Suseongmot Station 

The second place I would introduce to you is the Suseongmot Lake, one of the landmark of the city. It takes around 10 minutes to walk to Suseongmot Station, also Line 3!

Suseongmot is a pond of huge area, pleasant place to take a walk or enjoy some cultural atmosphere. There are various kinds of interesting artworks and some musical performances happens in here too. 

If you take a walk, you can see the famous "Duck Boats," which are one of the fun things about Suseongmot Lake, which consists of 15,000 KRW for two people and 18,000 won for four people for 30 minutes. I recommend you to enjoy the current under the clear sky on a the boat!

Arte Suseong Land is the best way to enjoy the pond too. Attached to the Suseongmot Lake, Suseong Land has a variety of rides to reminisce about childhood memories, including carousels for children and Viking and Bumper Cars for adults. The entrance fee is KRW 3,000, which is a relatively low price, so I recommend you to visit Suseong Land with Suseongmot Lake to relieve stress!
