Recommended Spring Trip Courses for Enjoying Blossom in Daegu

Well, it seems like that the new year has just begun, but it's already March when the new semester begins! Ipchun, which is the first of the twenty-four solar terms, that marks the beginning of spring season, is in February, but I think it's actually March to April because spring flowers are blooming these days.

Did you aware that Daegu also has many places to enjoy spring flowers? Daegu is the perfect place to meet the very first season of the year — it offers nice view to see spring scenes.
Today, I would like to introduce you to several places where you can enjoy flower viewing, not a crowded place, but a place where you can keep your social distance in Daegu. From now on, I would love to recommend some of Daegu’s spring trip courses for a nice flower viewing!

Inheung Village : Village of the Nampyeong Mun Clan in Bon-ri

Inheung Village was built around 1840 by Mun Gyeong-ho. At the entrance to the village, there is a statue of Mun Ik-jeom the famed scholar of the Goryeo Dynasty, who brought cottonseed into the Korean peninsula for the first time that influenced the clothing culture of Korea. Mun Gyeong-ho is the 18th lineal descendant of Mun Ik-jeom.

Inheung Village was designated as Daegu’s Folklore Material No. 3 because of its well-preserved frame of traditional yangban (ancient Korea’s nobility) houses in Yeongnam (Gyeongsang-do Province area at present) region.

Spring is one of the best season to visit the village because of the breathtaking blooming scenes. Especially, the red plum flower is especially impressive at Inheung Village.

Since it belongs to the Rosaceae, it is hard to leave up easily if you fall in love with this flower once.

The combination of red plum blossoms and yellow Sansuyu flowers with traditional stone wall. might catch your eyes. If you want to walk in a relaxed and calm atmosphere, I strongly recommend this place to visit.

Gyeongsang Gamyeong Park, which is located near Jungangno Station that has excellent accessibility, was established in 1601 at Joseon Dynasty as government building, and also used as the Gyeongsangbuk-do Government Office building from 1910 to 1965. Currently, it has been transformed into a park with walking paths and fountains, and also used as a relaxing place for Daegu citizens.

You can find lots of spring flowers at the park, everywhere. When spring comes to Daegu, Sansuyu blooms yellow flowers in Gyeongsang Gamyoung Park. Originally, it was planted as medicinal usage, but now it is mainly used for a view. When the fall season comes in Korea, the yellow color of spring flowers turn into the red fruits.

You can also see Sansuyu trees at Gyeongsang Gamyeong Park, but you can also find out red plum blossoms too. Since the park locates at downtown, it's easy to get there. You could stop round the park for a while when you want to refresh yourself!

Sincheon Walkway

The fact that there is a place to enjoy a walk in urban life is a small comfort in a busy life. Lastly, the recommended trip course to see flower blooming  is 'Sincheon'. Sincheon has been the place of life for Daegu citizens since the past, and it boasts a clean environment so that migratory birds can build nests and meet otters in spring.

On the Sincheon trail, you would see the bright yellow forsythia which is the epitome of spring flowers. Forsythia, which is usually grown in the sun at the foot of a novel, can be easily found in everyday life, so you can see that spring has come when the forsythia blooms. Meeting forsythia on the trail is more friendly and welcoming.

The bike path is also well equipped, so it looks good to enjoy the ride through the spring flowers. It's also ideal place for family picnic and of course, perfect place for dating.
It’ll be great to visit if you would like to enjoy a breaktime during the everyday’s routines.
