Daegu with history and memories: Gomo Station Complex Culture Space

Today, I'm going to introduce you to the warm indoor attractions of Daegu.

It is a cultural complex in Gomo Station, a place to visit Daegu with history and memories.

Gomo Station where you can find honest life

'Gomo Station' is a station with a long history that closed in November 2006.

It is a place where the nostalgia, memories, joys and stories of the times of Gyeongsang-do people and history and culture are alive.

The 'Gomo Station Complex Culture Space' is designed to rediscover the meaning of Gomo Station and create new cultural values by recreating the disconnected history as a living history.

"Gomo Station Complex Culture Space" consisted of three places.

One of it is a 'Gomo museum' that experiences the history and culture of Gomo Station and rediscovers its value. And others are 'Memory Garden / Walkway' where you can enjoy the memories and scenery of the train station, and 'Gomo Pavilion' where you can enjoy the sound and scenery of the train station.

There was a dispute about Park Hae-soo's "Gomo Station" at the front gate of Gomo Station.
I could understand a little bit what this station means to adults.

If you enter the 'Gomo Station Complex Culture Space', you can see the history of Gomo Station.
In the corner, there was a lot of old video coming out of the monitor. 

A wide variety of content

You can see various cultural works that were set in Gomo Station.

The most representative work is song of the late singer Hyun-in, released in 1949, is "Rainful Gomoryeong". 

I could see photos and explanations of the filming site at that time. I could see the station employee uniform, hat, and the ticket used before.

In addition, various cultural contents such as contemporary music, movies, and musical plays were on display, providing various attractions. I could watch old records and things and listen to music myself. And like a train station, I could see various train signs and train breakdowns. : )

And there were various programs such as wish writing, painting experience, and slow postcard sending. It felt like a program with a simple and calm meaning like an Gomo station.



And when you come out of the Gomo Museum, there is a short walkway called 'Memorigarden'.
It was good to walk slowly listening to the sound of trains passing by Gomo Station, which is a closed station.

You can still see the train right next to Gomo Station, where many trains pass by.
