Autumn Silver Wave in the City of Daegu: Geumho River's Hajungdo Reeds, a field of silver grass

There are many things to see in autumn, including the Ginkgo Tree, which has been next to Dodong Seowon and Seowon, which were listed as UNESCO World Heritage sites.

Today I'm going to introduce you to a Hajungdo that allows you to enjoy nature and meet the flying silver grass near the city center.

A beautiful island on the Geumhogang River, Hajungdo

The Hajungdo built on top of the Geumho River was made by continuously accumulating deposits at the bottom of the stream!

Hajungdo is a place where you can see rape flowers and green barley in spring, and cosmos and silver grass in autumn. It is a place where Daegu citizens continue to walk in all four seasons.

It used to be an abandoned land a few years ago, where waste vinyl and garbage from farms were piled up and stank. Daegu City has created an ecological theme park where people and nature can coexist and has been reborn as an eco-friendly tourist destination in Daegu.

Thanks to this, citizens can now enjoy the different charms of Hajungdo.

Walking along the Nogok Bridge, you start to see the Hajungdo from afar. Seeing the silver waves of reeds swaying in the autumn wind, I feel that autumn is really just a step closer.

I would appreciate it if you participate actively in social distancing, including wearing masks, when visiting tourist attractions in Daegu, including Haundo Island. : )

Various photo zones here and there

Snakes often appear on the Hajungdo, so with signs telling you to be careful of snakes everywhere. For a pleasant and safe viewing experience, you can see a notice asking you to complete the tour before 6 p.m.

As pets are allowed in and out of the country, they should be equipped with leash and other protective equipment to refrain from making other visitors feel uncomfortable. We need advanced civic awareness to take a walk with a bowel bag.

Walking on a broad  Hajungdo, you'll see couples taking self-wedding photos and people taking light snapshots. Although the reed colony of Hajungdo is located in the middle of downtown Daegu, it boasts a picturesque scenery.

Walking along the trail along the Geumho River, the endless reeds were literally spectacular as if they were waves in the wind. One of the eight scenic views of Buk-gu, Daegu, and the Hajungdo of the Geumho River is to be designated as a national garden following the Suncheon Bay National Garden and the Taehwagang National Garden. As the voices of local governments are coming out, all visitors should try to minimize the damage.

If you want to take a picture of your life photoshot against the backdrop of a reed in Hajungdo, I recommend you visit before 4 p.m. if possible.

As autumn has come, the sun sets quickly, so it gets dark quickly after 4 o'clock. Visit a time zone with plenty of time and take a picture going back and forth between reeds!

It was a time when I felt a little bit of reeds blowing away the changes of the season that were hard to feel because of the corona. Why don't you walk slowly through the field of reeds where you can feel autumn with autumn leaves to soothe your tired daily life?

Come to the reed beds of the Geumho River, where you can feel the coolest autumn breeze of Daegu the most beautiful : )
