Outdoor Artworks exhibition The ARC, Dalseong Daegu Contemporary Art Festival

It's hard to enjoy cultural life these days, right?

I'd like to get a new stimulus, but I'm sorry that I don't have many places to look around.

Today, I will introduce you to the Daegu Exhibition Dalseong Daegu Contemporary Art Festival where you can watch it outdoors!

The 2020 Dalseong Daegu Modern Art Festival opened on September 4 and will continue until October 4.
It was prepared under the theme of healing and co-prosperity through harmony.

I heard that there are many things to see in the beautiful and airy The ARC. Shall we meet them?

Do you know the 12 scenery of Daegu? Among the various attractions in Daegu, twelve scenic spots were numbered.

One of the 12 scenic spots in Daegu, Goryeongbo, Gangjeong, since September 4th, The 2020 Dalseong Daegu Modern Art Festival is being held under the theme of healing and co-prosperity through harmony!

The outdoor exhibition will ease your frustration with Corona 19.
I'll show you an outdoor exhibition set against the backdrop of The ARC.

The Contemporary Art Festival in The ARC Area

The Daegu Exhibition Dalseong Daegu Contemporary Art Festival, which is held every year in the The ARC area, has many meanings.

The Dalseong Daegu Modern Art Festival was held in the 1970s by young artists who challenged the rigidity of the established art world.
It inherited the spirit of the Daegu Contemporary Art Festival, which exhibited various experimental works of art.

And here, where Dalseong Daegu Modern Art Festival is held every year is the spot which first and largest contemporary art festival in Korea was held.

In 1977, about 200 artists participated in the 3rd Daegu Contemporary Art Festival, the largest ever.

The artists who participate in the Dalseong Daegu Modern Art Festival inherit the spirit of challenging the older generation and include it in their works.

It presents various attractions to Daegu citizens by presenting experimental works every year, away from the set framework.

The exhibition in 2020 was designed to heal the wounds of Daegu citizens caused by Corona 19.

Furthermore, for the well-being of a healthy Republic of Korea, the exhibition was prepared under the theme of "healing through harmony and co-prosperity."

A total of 25 teams of artists participated in the 2020 Daegu Dalseong Contemporary Art Festival, focusing on artistic director Do Tae-geun.

In order to reduce the barriers to entry of modern art, they are operating a pre-booking program on weekends during the exhibition period.

In order to prevent the spread of Corona 19, the government is making it mandatory to wear masks and keeping hand sanitizers to encourage Daegu citizens to watch the show safely.

Works with Daegu citizens as well as professional artists and hands-on programs held during the exhibition will also feature their works.

So don't miss the exhibition!

Landmark on the largest floodgate in the East

Gangbo is the Bridge of Nakdonggang River, which spans Dalseong-gun, Daegu, and Goryeong-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do.

One of Daegu's landmarks, The ARC, stands tall.

It is also popular as a summer vacation spot that blows away the heat of Daegu citizens with its open view with cool river breeze.

It will be a great place to enjoy the upcoming fall.

The ARC area has many bicycles, nine-bot, so-called "wangbaltong" and electric kickboards so there are many family and lover tourists.

With the exception of the parking lot, vehicle entry is controlled, making the experience safer.

Diak's night view, which embodies the beautiful night sky every night, offers another attraction.

There is a River Cultural Center inside The ARC.

There is a permanent exhibition hall on the first basement floor, a circle video zone on the first and second floors, and an observatory and a cafe on the third floor.
In the main hall on the first basement floor of The ARC, there are a thousand Greeting Men on display, so there is a blue light.

The ARC has grown from Daegu citizens' shelter to Daegu's representative landmark.

How about healing your tired body and mind with the 2020 Daegu Dalseong Contemporary Art Festival?
