Let's go to Mangwudang Park, a Daegu promenade that contains Korean history!

Today, I'm going to introduce Mangwudang Park, a trail where you can enjoy Daegu's history while walking quietly!

Mangwudang Park has a memorial hall and exhibition hall that teaches us as well as park facilities.

Mangwudang in Mangwudang Park is named after General Kwak Jae-woo, who is famous for General Hongui.

When the Japanese Invasion of Korea broke out in 1592, it became the first righteous army in the country. dressed in red and riding a white horse.

Public toilets, shelters, and sports facilities are evenly installed in the spacious Mangwudang Park.
These days, indoor exercise is difficult, so it's a good place to wear masks and exercise.

The Statue of Kwak Jae-woo and the Memorial Hall of Mangwudang

The statue of Kwak Jae-woo, who can feel the energy from afar, is standing tall.

The horse and General Kwak Jae-woo looked as dynamic as if they were about to jump forward! This statue was built on April 22, 1972.

A red and colorful building was built right next to the statue.

This is the Mangwudang Memorial Hall, where the relics of General Kwak Jae-woo are kept. Unfortunately, the door was locked, so I couldn't get inside.

General Gwak Jae-woo's relics include a long sword and a wooden stone, a saddle, and a gat string, which were said to have been used during the Japanese Invasion of Korea in 1592.

It was not possible to go inside, but if you go up the stairs, you can see the buildings of the well-repaired memorial hall and the flowing Geumho River at a glance.

Imran-Hoguk Yeungnamchungdan in honor of the souls

The next place I visited was the Imran-Hoguk Yeongnam Chungchungdan Exhibition Hall, which has a dignified appearance.

It is a place to introduce the history of the Yeongnam righteous army who went out to protect the nation during the Japanese Invasion of Korea in 1592.

This place was built to remember and preserve the noble spirit.

It is closed only on Mondays, national and public holidays, but currently, it is not available due to the implementation of stage 2 of social distance.
When I visited, I was able to see it, so I'll introduce you to the facilities inside!

Please refer to it when you visit later : )

When you enter, you can watch it without a separate admission fee, and you need to sterilize your hands and make a list of visits.

Along with various materials and artifacts, you can take a closer look at the history of the Japanese Invasion of Korea and the Yeongnam Military Corps.

If you walk out of the exhibition hall for a while, you will see a red door, which means that it is a place where you should be courteous instead of singing loudly.

I went up slowly with reverence.

Created by descendants of the Yeongnam region, this loyalty group is said to have enshrined the spirits of 315 patriots to commemorate loyalty.

It was established on June 1 every year to honor and remember the souls of the righteous army who have devoted themselves to protecting the country since 2010.

We should remember the hard work of the righteous army, who sacrificed their lives for the nation and their families without even leaving their names.

Mangwudang Park is good for walking

Now I took a full-fledged walk towards the riverside.

Next to the memorial hall, you can follow the signs on the Daegu promenade and there are deck roads and stairs that are good for walking.

Isn't the view across the river reflected in the Geumho River picturesque?

A small flower garden is spread out along the walk deck, so you can continue your walk without getting bored.

It's like Mangwudang Park, famous for its Daegu promenade!

There were many people who took a rest in the shade. And you can meet a floating duck boat.

It's a great pleasure to have such a cool and leisurely walking space just a little away from the dense city center.

Summer in Mangwudang Park, where pink pear trees burst into bloom, and the Ludvechia flowers bloomed in full bloom at large and small heights.

Everywhere I looked, there was a wonderful view that I wanted to take pictures of.

In addition to the beautiful scenery that I had never thought of at Mangwudang Park, I was able to learn about the historical lessons that touched my heart.

It was Mangwudang Park, a walkway in Daegu that is good for walking on a cool afternoon. : )
