Let me introduce you to the exhibition of Daegu MBC [Magnum in Paris] by Magnum Photos

After the rainy season is over, the hot sun is shining in Daegu.

Today, I'm going to introduce you to a photo exhibition where you can enjoy it indoors, avoiding the hot sun!

Magnum in Paris is a photo exhibition that brings together various images of Paris taken by Magnum Photos, the world's most prestigious group of photographers.

It started in mid-July and runs through November 1.

Exhibition period: July 17, 2020 (Friday) to November 1st (Sunday)
Admission from 11:00 to 18:00 closed every Monday at 17:00

Exhibition Inquiry: 053-744-5400
400 Daegu Culture Broadcasting in Dongdaegu, Suseong-gu, Daegu

To introduce Magnum Photos further, Magnum is a Latin word that means big, and has represented 20th century photojournalism under the slogan "Record the world as it is."

Founded in 1947 by photographers such as Henri Cartier Bresson, Robert Kappa, David Seymour, and George Roger, the purpose of the establishment was to protect the copyright of their members' works and ensure the autonomy of their photographs.

It was also a photo-communication company with the purpose of selling photographs to the media, and their activities and photos are still being introduced through various exhibitions and collaboration.

Unlike the exclusive photographer of the media company, they can pursue their own position and direction, revealing their individuality and characteristics in their works.

It is of greater value because of its quality of work as well as its image of the time!

The exhibition features 224 works by 39 photographers, including Robert Kappa and Mark Leibou, who have made a brilliant name in the history of photography around the world, and 122 cuts of video materials.

There is also an audio guide rental service that allows you to listen to the meaning and detailed background of your work through the audio guide when purchasing tickets (Pay: 3,000 won).

There was a ticket box at the entrance of MBC.

If you book online, you will get a discount of 2,000 won, so please check it out: )

I was able to enter after disinfecting my hands and checking for heat. For safe viewing, we were able to see that they followed the quarantine rules thoroughly.

This exhibition consists of an annual collection of images of Paris after World War II.

Let me show you some representative works first!

If you are looking for an exhibition to see in Daegu, I would highly recommend it! : )

From the war-torn Paris to the fashion city of Paris, the city of Paris has been reborn, it has been showing a variety of Paris in history.

In a way, I thought it was similar to Daegu, the center of the Korean textile industry!

"I would advise anyone who hasn't been to Paris yet. If you have enough luck to spend your youth in Paris, Paris will always be there for you wherever you go in the rest of your life, like a moving festival.

Just like it did to me."

Ernest Hemingway
Of The Day-to-Day Festivals in Paris.

As Homingway said, Paris is a city full of romance, passion, and festivals. I was able to feel the atmosphere of that time with the deep picture.

Suddenly, as I saw pictures of the artistic and free atmosphere of Paris, I imagined that I would take a walk on the streets of the place one day, it was an exhibition that made me smile.

In the middle of the photo exhibition, there was a question "What is Paris to you?".

The walls were filled with dreamy Paris images of those who had not yet been to Paris, and movie-like stories from Paris.

Lastly, at the entrance to the exhibition hall on the second floor, the hottest flim camare vending machine on SNS was there.

I think it would be impressive to watch a photo exhibition with Paris' emotions and leave memories of the day with a film camera. :)
Various price ranges, film cameras with filters are on sale, so take a look!

Today, I introduced the Magnum in Paris, a photo exhibition on display at Daegu MBC.

Why don't you go meet Paris in Daegu? : )
