What comes to your mind first when you think of Daegu Bukseong-ro?

A hardware store? Bulgogi on a rainy day?

Bukseong-ro was a colonial city of Japanese colonial era, starting with the appearance of a fortress during the Joseon Dynasty.
In the 50s and 60s, Korea's largest tool alley has been transformed into various shapes over time.

So, what will the current Bukseong-ro look like in 2020?

Now, Bukseong-ro is creating a new look by renovating existing Japanese-style buildings, consisting of various types of shops such as cafes, workshops, and bars.

In particular, recently, complex cultural spaces and goods shops in Daegu are being built to create unique and unique places with unique atmosphere.

Let's check it out together!

1. Daehwa-jang(Place of conversation) (complex cultural space)

104-15 Bukseong-ro, Jung-gu, Daegu

Daehwa-jang is a hot complex cultural space that opened recently.

Complex cultural space is a place where anyone can easily and diversely communicate with art and culture by providing exhibition, sales, and work space for works.

In line with this, the dialogue hall provided various cultural and artistic experiences such as a lecture hall, kitchen, workshop, studio, and salon.

There was a cafe space at the entrance.

Here, not only bread and drinks, but also every Tuesday-Saturday from 18:00 to 23:00.

There will also be a 'salon' where we can have a new conversation with strangers.
If you leave the cafe and go to the building behind, you will find the auditorium.
There were daily life-inspiring films playing here.
You can freely use it as a cafe, so it's a perfect place to watch movies with drinks:)

There's a small kitchen right next to you.

This is a shared kitchen that can be used for rent, and is open to anyone who wants to share their own food with people around them and small gatherings they want to eat and talk to.

When you get out of the kitchen, pass through the square, and enter another building, you will see a workshop.
The Conversation Workshop is an open studio where you can see the creator's work, a pop-up store in the form of sales,

It's a place where people who support and cherish small-volume production participate, so it would be nice to visit on time! :)

2. Daegu Goods (goods shop)

The second place is 'Daegu Goods'!

Daegu Goods is a place where goods related to Daegu are produced under the motto of 'The Emotional Design of Daegu Memories'.

The theme of Daegu's representative tourist attractions, events, and other materials that can remember Daegu.

Various kinds of goods were being made, including mugs, mouse pads, calendars, and maps.
Also, while looking at the goods, we talked about Daegu where we lived and learned about things that we didn't know.

It seemed that we were acting as an item to talk about Daegu beyond just the concept of goods to share our stories in Daegu.

Currently, a tool alley T-shirt with the concept of Bukseong-ro was also being sold.
I think it's a product that stands out with an extension design that symbolizes a tool alley!

Today we learned about the exotic places in Bukseong-ro.

Aren't you spending the same route of culture and leisure every day?
