Pyochungjae is a place which Gun Wang, who had been the king of Goryeo Dynasty on the Korean peninsula, had built for praying for Sung Gyeom Sin, the general of Goryeo, who had been dead for rescue his master. And after the fall of Goryeo Dynasty, in Joseon Dynasty, it turned into a Seowon.
