5 Fun & Free Things To Do Over Seollal Weekend

It’s finally Seollal week! Many of us have been waiting for time to travel around Korea! In addition to your Daegu trip plan, here are 5 more things that you can add to spice up the trip!

#1 Folk Games @Daegu National Science Museum

Not only its special Pyeonchang program is taking place, folk games is available from today until this Sunday. If you have a curious mind, explore the world of science and have fun playing folk games and VR winter sport games!

#2 Folk Games @Dongdaegu Station

If you are departing or arriving through Dongdaegu Station, stop by at the plaza outside the building. From now to February 23, you can play folk games while you are waiting for your train or guests

─  Games: yutnori, spinning Korean top, jegichagi(kicking shuttlecock), tuho

#3 Visit Daegu Art Museum

3 unique exhibitions are happening at Daegu Art Museum. For 4 days from February 15 to 18, it opens free for public. It also gives out a souvenir for those who were born in the year of dog, which are 2018, 2006, 1994, 1982, 1970, 1958, 1946, etc. The souvenir is on first-come-first-serve base!

#4 Art and Games @Daegu Arts Center

Another great art place to visit is Daegu Arts Center. Its current exhibition “Speak through Colors” are well received by audience. Also, you can play folk games from February 16 to 18. It even opens on Seollal!

─  Games: Yutnori, jegichagi(kicking shuttlecock), rolling hoop, etc

#5 Happy Seollal with Animals!

Last but not least is..Dalseong Park! The weather is warming up, which means it’s time to get in the sunshine.  The park has also set folk games at its Central Square for Seollal. When you are done exploring the zoo, you can visit Seomun Market located nearby for delicious foods!
