#1 Daegu Opera Festival

One of the most anticipated festival of the year: Daegu Opera Festival! From Daegu Int’l Musical Festival, Folk Song Festival to Daegu Int’l Jazz Fesstival, finally it’s time for opera! Daegu Opera Festival 2017 will Rigoletto, Il Trittico, Aida and  Immortal Love as Main Opera programs and Der Fliegende Hollander Die Flendermaus as Opera Concertante! The festival will start off on Oct 12 with Rigoletto and have a grand finale with 10th year of Pavarotti’s memorial concert on Nov 12.


#2 Arboretum Chrysanthemum Festival (Autumn Flower Festival)

Have you ever imagined watching wrestling between monks? Thats what you are going to witness at Mt. Palgong Market. Even though its called a market, its more than just exchanging of goods, trying temple food, purchasing temple items. There will be more events, contests, and hand-on experience programs related to temple/monk culture. This annual festival has been held every fall since 2009.


#4 Daegu Asian Contemporary Dance Festival
