Located in the heart of Gyeonsang-do, the biggest province in Korea, Daegu has inevitably developed one of the finest transportation networks in Korea.  RAILWAY
The first is Daegu’s railway network. Dongdaegu and Daegu stations are the two railway stations in Daegu. Dongdaegu Station is bigger and located 10 min away from Daegu Station. “Dong” simply means East. Both stations occupy some of the busiest areas in Daegu near many attraction spots. This means when you get off the train, you don’t need to travel another hour to get to your tourist spots.

1. Dongdaegu Station
You might be surprised to find out that the biggest number of trains stops at Dongdaegu Station not at Seoul Station. Majority of domestic trains stop here. Another record we have is that it is the second busiest station by passenger number. It also one of 16 stations that KTX stops. Since 2016, another KTX-level train, SRT, stops here, making it possible to travel to Seoul in 90 min and Busan 40 min. Daegu is a fantastic option when you want to travel more than one city in Korea.
It is also directly connected to Dongdaegu Complex Transit Center, the Asia’s biggest transit complex building. Here you can use inter-city buses and spend delightful time at Shinsegae Department.

2. Daegu Station
The older and more historical Daegu Station opened in 1905. It is located right by Daegu’s busiest district Dongseongro. Daegu Concert House, Bukseongro(historical tool street), Gyodong Market and Jewelry Town are all in short distances. You can also go to Lotte Department Store without leaving the station.

 AIRWAY
Opened in 1962, Daegu International Airport has gone through ups and downs. When KTX started service, the airport struggled to accommodate passenger for its domestic lines. However, after it started to run more inexpensive international flights, people from surrounding cities including Busan come to Daegu to go abroad.
Its architectural beauty and size can’t parallel to Incheon Airport’s but most times, there are shorter waiting lines/walking and many cheap flight options.
