Melodic Ways to Travel Around Daegu

Melodic Ways to Travel Around Daegu

I believe many of you are music lovers.
Like you take a walk, do house chores or chillax at a café, music cannot be separated from everyday life. I can feel music in many places around Daegu. Let's go along with the melody and see where it will take us.

Did you know that Korea’s oldest music listening room is in Daegu?
The first place we will visit is the Noc Hyang Music Room :)

In the 1950s, Noc Hyang Music Room was a private club for many artists, and many people say it is the best music listening room in Daegu! The place is not located at the basement of Hangchon Cultural Center.

From the signboards to the sofa and the music you hear, you can feel the vibe as if you were back a few decades ago.
Noc Hyang Music Room, which means 'music spreads all over the country with a lush scent', is a place that has 60 years of folklore history and music.

You can request songs you want to listen to just like people did songs to DJ back in the day.
It would be great if you come to the music room with your parents so that they can relive their old days through music. :)

This place is still a place to appreciate the music of the late singer Kim Kwang Suk who is still considered one of the best singers in Korea!

Kim Kwang Seok Gil is not only known for busking performer, but also for a lot of fun entertainments and great restaurants and cafes.
If you come for a music trip, I recommend you schedule a full day to fully enjoy what this street has to offer.

As you stroll along the music, you will be able to see the Story House at the end of the street. The Story House, which opened on June 1st, let you soak yourself in music even more.

There is a music zone where you can listen to the late Kim Gwang-seok's music with headphones. It also displays handwritten scores, a variety of souvenirs, and unpublished photos!
