Scenic Street of Korea - Daegu’s Metasequoia Forest Road‬ Straight Out of a Fairytale

Metasequoia Forest Road‬ Straight Out of a Fairytale

Metasequoia Forest Road at Hosan Park is one of the beautiful streets
selected as Daegu’s Scenic Street in 2011.

It is located just a short distance from Gangchang Subway Station, Metasequoia Forest Road is, as the name suggest, made up entirely of Metasequoia trees.

This road was developed from 1995 to 1996, and is about 1km long made with 250 trees along the tunnel. The green trees lined along the road are simply majestic and incredible.
While it may not be your typical fairytale forest, it certainly is an incredible sight to behold. The view from the beginning of this Metasequoia-lined road is superb, and walking through this road is like walking through a fairytale.

As soon as you step within the road you’re greeted by lush green trees and when the wind blow you experience the shy rustle of leaves and the blissful sound of the Metasequoia singing.

It’s a place that is regarded as a good walking path for anyone, and loved by photographers as a great place for photographing!

Why don’t you take a little stroll along the Metasequoia forest road at Hosan Park to take a rest on your journey in Korea? :)

Location : 15 min walk from Gangchang Station Exit 3 (Daegu Subway Line 2)
