I strongly suggest an independent film cinema, ’55 Cinema’, as a date spot. This is distinctive place opened last February. This is the first ever independent film cinema in the area and it’s remarkable with 55 seats.

This was built with the fund raised by those who wish to watch independent films and it shows small films like short films, indie films, and documentaries. You can’t watch them in a large multiplex, but you can experience films with great cinematic quality.

Cafe Samduk in Bukseongno

The feeling of having a date in an old space doesn’t sound so great?

Cafe Samduck, a rising popular place in Daegu located in Bukseongno, is a café that still keeps the features of the old Japanese houses as it was in the 1930’s.

The building that had been neglected for some time was renovated through project ‘Rediscovery of Bukseongno’ and became what it is now. 
Visit Cafe Samduck and get the feeling of slowly travelling into the past!

The last place that I can recommend is ‘Torytoy’, a café located at the Sincheon(Kyungpook National University)station. This is a workshop café where you can make toys and pop art portraits.
