[Panda flash mob] 1,600 Pandas+ travel to Daegu, South Korea on Jun 21st, 2015


1,600 Pandas+ are continuing the tour through Seoul and many other cities with its unceasing popularity. Eventually, we can meet the cute 1,600 Pandas+ in Daegu!!
The lovely pandas will be displayed in front of Daegu Culture & Arts Center on June 21st 2015.

The project of world tour started in 2008 by a French artist Paulo Grangeon, who created the 1,600 Paper Mache Pandas+ to represent the 1,600 real living pandas left in the world today.
The tour is showcase as a symbolic reminder of the importance of protecting the endangered wild species. 1,600 pandas refer to the population of living wild giant pandas when the project started in 2008. + means the increasing number of wild giant pandas since its beginning of the project.

If you want to adopt Paper Mache Pandas after flash mob, you can apply for adoption on the official website from July 1st. The All proceeds will support WWF(World Wide Fund For Nature).

How to get to Daegu Culture & Arts Center?
- By Subway and Bus : If you departure from Dongdaegu Station, take a subway line 1 and transfer from Seongdang-mot Station to Bus 606, 452, 609, 706 or 202-1. And get off at Daegu Culture & Arts Center.
- By Taxi : If you want to take a taxi, it will take you about 30min and cost you 12,000won from Dongdaegu Station.
