Korea Street Musical - Daegu Downtown ‘Dongseong-ro’ Street Musical Performance

Enjoy the famous musical performances such as Grease, All Shook Up, and Jekyll & Hyde for free on the streets!

Despite the hotter climate of Daegu, the downtown street of ‘Dongseong-ro’ is still full of heated passion of students.

Through the street performance program that is held once a week in Daegu, Dongseong-ro, more people can easily come in contact with cultural art.

The performing teams joining the Dongseong-ro street performances are students of musical related majors in Daegu Art University, Daegu University, and Myongji University.

They are presenting famous, world-wide musical performances such as Jekyll & Hyde, Hero, Lion King, and Grease.

This is the previous performance site heated with musical performance.

The performance has started in front of H&M(Daegu Hanil CGV theater).

The highlight scenes of the musicals Les Miserables, Grease, and All Shook Up were performed.

The actors who performed on that day’s performance were students majoring in musical in Daegu Keimyung College University.

No to the prejudice of unsatisfactory street performance of students~!

The preparation and emphasis on the detailed parts like costumes and props stood out in this performance.

From exceptional acting and expression, it was a performance of high quality and vividness

It was enough to catch the eyes of everyone who visited Dongseong-ro Street

Also, it was a time to interact with citizens present in the site! It was a wonderful performance that made the whole Dongseong-ro street heave.

Daegu street musical is scheduled to be continued for about 40 times until November, and you can see them in front of H&M(Daegu Hanil CGV theater) and Central Police Station.

▶ How to get to Dongseong-ro?
Recommend you to take a Daegu subway and get off at Jungang-ro Station or Banwoldang Station.
If you move to Dongseong-ro from Dongdaegu Station by taxi, it will take you about 15 min and cost 6,000 won.
