Daegu Yangnyeongsi Herb Medicine Culture Festival 15th~19th April 2015

In Daegu Korea, the Yangnyeongsi, which holds a 350 years history and tradition, is located.

As the international base of the distribution of medicinal herbs, which provides medicinal herbs not only in our country, but also abroad, it is winning fame.

The Herb Medicine Culture Festival held annually in Yangnyengsi is ongoing on 4.15~4.19 this year.

A chance to experience firsthand and understand the traditional culture of Korea during the festival period!

Various unique events are being held. 

Let us introduce some major events we would like to recommend.

1. Modern culture alley tour : join the narrative Daegu Jung-gu alley tour with a tourism culture commentator.
- Venue : modern culture alley around the festival
- Time : twice a day 14:00 & 16:00, 16th~19th Apr 2015 

2. Oriental medicine experiencing event : Oriental medicinal foot bath experience, Herbal medicine experience, Making of oriental medicinal soap, Trying out traditional costumes, Moxibustion experience, and Consultation and treatment with a specialist.
- Venue : a part of the festival venue
- Time : 10:00~20:00, 16th~19th Apr 2015

3. Parades in the street by a treasured volume of Donguibogam (principles and practice of eastern medicine)
- Venue : a part of the area surrounding Yangnyeongsi 
- Time : 16:00~19:00, 16th Apr 2015

4. Yangnyeongsi healing concert
- Venue : main stage of Yangnyeongsi 
- Time : 19:00~20:00, 17th~18th Apr 2015

5. Moonlight walking contest 
- Venue : modern culture alley around the festival
- Time : 19:00~21:00

6. Demonstration of Korean traditional wedding ceremony 
- Venue : main stage of Yangnyeongsi
- Time : 15:00~16:00, 19th Apr 2015

7. Closing ceremony
- Venue : main stage of Yangnyengsi
- Time : 19:00~19:30, 19th Apr 2015


You can have a more unique experience if you visit the Yangnyeongsi Museum of Oriental Medicine together, which is located nearby.
