Donghwasa Temple is located on the south side of Mt. Palgongsan, about 22km northeast of Daegu. Donghwasa temples possess the history of traditional Korean culture and Buddhist tradition. You can feel the 1500-year history of Korean Buddhism in person, through beautiful Buddhist paintings statues, and tales about the halls scattered around the temple compound.

Donghwasa Temple stay programs allow you to experience Korean Buddhist culture. Participants are given the chance to take part in day-to-day activities and witness the rituals of traditional Korean temples.

You can experience Chamseon Meditation(Zen meditation), Buddhist Ceremonial Service, Monastic Meal, Monastic daily life, Tea Ceremony, Temple tour, Community Work in Korean Buddhism, Lotus lantern making, Making Buddhist beads, Walking to hermitages located deep in the mountains.
