A New landmark of Daegu, The ARC
Have heard of The ARC?
The ARC is one of the four rivers cultural pavilions opened in September 2012 as the last project of the four major rivers restoration project in Korea.
Located in Dalseong-gun, Daegu, this three story building consists of some exhibition rooms, a cafe, and an observatory.

It was very interesting that the basement wall was surrounded by these blue greeting men. According to the explanation, these blue sculptures represent peace and reconciliation.
The river lounge on the first floor offers visitors an opportunity to appreciate masterpieces by world-renowned artists that once graced Hangang, Geumgang, Yeongsangang and Nakdonggang. Other exhibits show historical changes to the rivers of Korea.
Also, the first and second floor's exhibition rooms show huge circle video and panorama I-max images.
There is an observatory on the third floor. You can overlook the beautiful scenery of Nakdong River, Geumho River and Gangjeonggoryeong weir here. Beautiful clouds were reflected on the surface of the pond placed in the middle of the observatory.
If it’s too cold to be outside, grab some coffee at the coffee shop inside of the third floor. There are also comfortable tables and chairs where you can take a rest.
With beautiful landscape and a new bike road,
the ARC will become a new place for a family picnic or leisure activities!
