The 5th Daegu Art Fair will be held at Exco in Daegu from November 13th(preview, and ordinary citizens from 14th) until November 18th, 2012.

Daegu is the major cultural city in Korea and produces a number of human resources in the field of art. Galleries of high standard and art lovers are leading art and culture of the city. To make itself an internationally  specialized art fair, Daegu Art Fair is creating the biggest art market in Korea by enthusiastically attracting overseas galleries and through active participation by those from domestic art market.Thanks, in part, to Daegu’s successful bidding for and holding of successive international cultural events, Daegu is being recognized as a culture and art city. This is why Daegu Art Fair is growing in size year by year. Daegu Art Fair plans to expand exchange  exhibitions every year in order to become a cultural event that goes beyond geographical limits and shows international trend and flow in art. 

Exchange exhibitions include “Art Road 77 Art Fair-With Art, With Artist!” with Heyri Art Village, “Italian Way” to introduce new artists from Italy, and “RED DOTS” with Japan held last year and to be held this year as well. Through these 3 exchange exhibitions, gallery goers will be able to understand and feel different art markets of the world by experiencing modern art trend not only of Korea but also of Asia and beyond.
