To greet year of VISIT DAEGU 2011, travel blogger press visited Daegu from Apr 30 to May 1 for two days. This group is consisting of about 40 people who are actively posting their domestic travel related contents on their blog.
Total of 36 of travel blogger and 2 Japanese guests gathered in Dong-Daegu Station.
The travel schedule of first day was start from Brass ware Museum (BANG JJA), Donghwasa Temple and restaurant in the mountain. We arrived at Korea’s sole Brass ware theme Museum located nearby Palgongsan Mountain. In here, maintaining the important intangible cultural asset No.77, Bong Ju, Lee’s donated works.
Blogger were kept clicking shutter to capture great shape of his works. Entering the museum, we met brass ware culture showroom where exhibits elaborated brass works and explains detailed manufacturing process of brass wares.
Here is reenactment room where displayed full scale replica of brass-ware workshop.
Donghwasa Temple in the Mt. Palgongsan is the second place we have visited.
The main entrance of Donghwasa Temple, Bonghwang gate greeted us.
Travel blogger didn’t leave rock cliff sedentary Buddha carved into a wall of Donghwasa Temple entrance. We were not able to take our eyes off delicately rendered Buddha which seemed to be carved in the late Unified Silla dynasty for a while.
We directed our steps toward Donghwasa Temple trippingly with breathing clean air of Mt. Palgongsan.
The stairway to Unification colossal statue of Buddha has 108 stairs that stand for the 108 passions of Buddhism. In the entrance to the main temple, there are three eggs of Phoenix which grant people’s wish. We started to feel hunger due to hard climbing and dropped by a restaurant which sells smoked duck. We ordered vegetable lunch menu and fine mushroom stone pot. We fell in love with the charm of Korean nature.
