Today's drive course will first head to Dong-gu!

1. Otgol Village
Dunsan-dong, Dong-gu, Daegu
the beautiful harmony between tradition and nature

Otgol Village is famous for its stone wall road in Daegu. It is the home village of Gyeongju Choi(family name) and the place where Baekbul Historic House, the head of Gyeongju Choi, is located.

Along with Hahoe Village in Andong and Yangdong Village in Gyeongju, it is considered one of the representative hanok villages.

The first person to settle here was Choe Dong-jip, a scholar of the reign of King Injo of the Joseon Dynasty, and there is the last house of Choe Heung-won.
More than 20 old houses huddled together along the old stone walls.
The old fence (registered cultural property No. 266) in the village of Otgol in Daegu has been designated by the Cultural Heritage Administration as one of the "10 most beautiful stone walls in the country."
There is a pond where you can sit down on the bench, and take some chill.

2. Ancient Tombs in Bul-ro-dong, Daegu
a long healing space for Daegu citizens

Bulo-dong Ancient Tombs
335 Bul-ro-dong, Dong-gu, Daegu

The ancient tombs in Bulo-dong, Daegu, are located in a low-lying hill on the east side of the Geumho River, which flows around the north and west of Daegu.

More than 210 tombs were built around the 5th century during the Three Kingdoms Period.

Two excavations were conducted, and the largest coastal tomb No. 1 and No. 2 were excavated during the first excavation in 1938.

Shark bones were found in the pots of the tombs No. 91 and 93, which are believed to have been enjoyed by the tomb's owner.
So, people have a funny guess that they ate shark meat, the signature food of Gyeongsang-do, at this time!

The ancient tombs in Bulo-dong, Daegu, are located in a low hill, but you can see the Daegu Basin at a glance.

In May and June, when Geumgyeguk blooms, the top of the tombs is covered with yellow waves, creating a spectacular view.

The walkway between the tombs has long been loved as a healing place for Daegu citizens because it is a walking spot where both the elderly and children can walk comfortably.

3. General Shin Sung-kyum Historic Site
the founding contributor of Goryeo to save King Taejo's.

It is a place to honor General Shin Sung-kyum, who saved King Taejo and died heroically. In 927, Wang Geon was surrounded by the Gyeonhwon army in Dongsu, Gongsan (now in Donghwasa Temple) of Palgongsan Mountain, where Shin Sung-kyum changed his clothes and fled Wang Geon. Wang Geon collected Shin Sung-kyum's body and buried it in Gwanghaeju (now Chuncheon), and built a pure altar and a memorial temple where the general died.
The site of General Shin Sung-kyum's historic site has a greater meaning as it is also the starting point of the 35-kilometer-long Palgongsan Wanggeon-gil.
General Shin Sung-kyum, the founding contributor of the early Goryeo Dynasty, was also designated as Daegu Metropolitan City Monument No. 1 after he was designated as a member of Pagunjae in Jimyo-dong, Dong-gu, Daegu, where he died.

As it is a historical site, you may think that the tomb of General Shin Sung-kyum is located in Chuncheon, his hometown.

Wang Geon, who was so sorry for Shin Sung-kyum's warrior, laid the tomb of General Shin Sung-kyum at the site of a famous shrine in Korea.
It was the site of General Shin Sung-kyum, where you can feel deep loyalty and long history.

4. Geumho River Road
A place where the lives and sorrows

Kumho River is a tributary of the Nakdong River, which documents the southeastern part of Gyeongsangbuk-do and Daegu City, and is said to be 116 kilometers long.

Originating from the northern part of Jukjang-myeon, Pohang, Yeongcheon-si and Gyeongsan-si, they join the Nakdonggang River from Dalseo-gu, which is combined with numerous small tributaries including Sincheon. Therefore, the plains of Yeongcheon, Gyeongsan, and Daegu where this Geumho River passes are called Kumho Plain.

It passes the northern and western parts of the traditional Daegu metropolitan area, so it is a very frequent river that appears along with the Nakdonggang River in Palgongsan Mountain in the school district of Daegu!

Dongchon Amusement Park, a riverside amusement park, is also located along the Geumho River, and a load of new scenery is also located inside the Geumho River.

There are as many bridges as there are rivers surrounding the city of Daegu. In particular, all the routes of Daegu's urban railway will take the Geumho River.

The railroad running over the river gives us a different view.

If you leave the drive side by side with the Geumho River, which flows without a break, you will feel refreshed and enjoy the end of the drive:
