Daegu's Historic Places Of Modern Cultural Street

Autumn in Korea is a season perfect for alley trips due to its cool weather.
Daegu Travel would like to introduce the major attractions on the modern alley in Daegu which is a historical travel course and where in the modern history of Daegu still remains intact.
Take a walk along the 2nd course of modern alley tour where you will walk from Cheongna Hill to the March 1st Independence Movement Road, and Gyesan Catholic Church.

Dongsan Medical Missionary Houses at Cheongna Hill

Cheongna Hill was the background of Korea’s prominent song (lyric songs accompanied by an orchestra), ‘Thinking of my friend’, composed in 1922. It has a foreign atmosphere because of the Switz House and Chamness House where foreign missionaries resided.

Chamness House is currently a medical mission museum that exhibits medical equipment that were used from 1890 to 1900.

The Yangnyeongsi Museum of Oriental Medicine was built to preserve the traditional culture of oriental medicine in Yangnyeongsi. This is also a place where you can visit the Oriental Medicine Experience Center, try out the footbath, taste herbal teas and learn more about Yangnyeongsi.
