It is commonly said that ‘A day at a lake restores the soul’. If you are tired of the hectic busy life and looking to refresh your soul, all you need is to try going to the famous ‘Suseong Lake’(Suseongmot in Korean) in Daegu, South Korea.

After being refurbished recently, this lake has become one of the most beautiful lakes in South Korea and one of the top visited places in Daegu by families, couples and everyone looking to enjoy great weather and atmosphere.

Suseong Lake offers different colors during every season of the year. In spring, Cherry blossom tress alongside walking track attracts lots of tourists. In summer the cool wind during evening and music fountain shows make it a romantic place for everyone especially couples. 

Tress changing color in autumn and an ice skating rink in winter, adds beauty to the lake. 

The moment you enter Suseong Lake, you can find an amusement park for kids offering coin operated games, rides and mini roller-coasters. 

Not only that, you can also find tennis courts, basketball courts, and grassy areas where families can come and enjoy the view.

Alongside the walking track, you can find a paddle boat rental service. These paddle boats are in shape of ducks and can be rented for half an hour price ranging from 15,000 Won. A single duck boat accommodates up to 2-4 persons and it’s a great way to do exercise.

Apart from boating, you can also find fancy restaurants and cafes along the lake. Mostly couples come to celebrate birth dates on top of restaurants while enjoying both the spectacular scenery and night view. 

Another thing which makes Suseong Lakes unique is the musical fountain show. Dancing water with laser lights and music makes the environment of the lake more romantic. 

The music fountain shows are operated twice a day at night from May till October. Multiple benches have been installed for better viewing of dancing fountains synchronized with music which makes it a nice cozy place to view the show.
