If you’re a lover of art, music and culture then you definitely need to take a trip down this alley. It’s an alley filled with murals portraying the life of the famous Korean singer-songwriter “Kim Kwang-seok”.

The beautiful, artistic alley is located near Bangcheon Market where he used to live. It is about 5mins from Jungangro(downtown in Daegu) by taxi.

It is a suitable hangout place for all ages. It is such romantic spot for a nice chilled out date.

Kim Kwang-seok was a famous singer-songwriter born in Daegu, South Korea.

He tragically took his own life at the age of 31 in 1996 leaving a legacy of music that would last for generations and generations to come.

His music was loved so much in the 1990’s. According to my Korean friends’ mom, people back in the day loved his music because they could relate to it.

He discussed a variety of social issues, human emotions and the hardships of life(especially young adults). She compared him to Bob Dylan because of his soul in music.

Kim Kwang-seok is said to have portrayed music in a way that no other Korean artists had before.

Head down to this beautiful alley and stop over for some drinks at Coffee Myung-ga for the ultimate Daegu night walk experience.
